Subject: 1116 Catriona occultation

Dear all,

     I received 19 observations of 1116 Catriona made at the USNO Flagstaff
station by Ron Stone.  They were added to the observations I have, and
a new orbit was computed.
I consider this as the reference orbit for the Beta Aurigae occultation
that will take place in 12 days.  All new observations will be considered
as last-minute observations and used to compute a differential correction.
     The PostScript file of the occultation, computed with the reference
orbit will be sent to you also.  The new prediction differs barely from
the previous one.
     Below I give the position of shadow track at 10-second intervals.  The
longitude is counted positive to the WEST.  The computation does NOT take
into account the effects of refraction, which might be of importance
for South-African observers (Danie).  I hope someone can provide an
independent check.
